CHAINSAW MAN VOL. 1 REVIEW!
Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is the Mystery Writer speaking, and welcome back to Manga Review! Today, I'll be reviewing volume 1 of what has to be the hottest manga series out there right now, and soon-to-be anime, CHAINSAW MAN! You all have NO idea how hard it was to get this volume! I've been looking for months, and this volume of the series is hard to find! So I ordered it online, only to find out it was for sale at a store nearby, but luckily, my copy came the day after that sorry revelation. After reading it, I have to say I get the hype because this series rocks! From the creator of Fire Punch, a series I've seen on shelves but never bothered to look further into, comes CHAINSAW MAN! It's about Denji, a poor young man with his pet devil dog Pochita who had the side-gig of a devil hunter. He's taken up this dangerous job because of the massive debt his dead father left behind to the yakuza, who kill devils and sell their body parts on the black market. Denji gets called to

RICK AND MORTY SEASON 5 EP. 8 REVIEW!
Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is The Mystery Writer speaking, and welcome to the show! Today, I bring you the eighth episode of RICK AND MORTY SEASON FIVE! In this episode, entitled Rickternal Friendshine of the Spotless Mort, while his family is away to go on a cruise, Rick stays home. Rick works on reviving his oldest friend, Bird Person, after having been turned into a cyborg. Rick manages to put his body back together, but according to his garage A.I., Bird Person's mind is missing, hidden deep within his subconscious. Rick, therefore, goes into Bird Person's mind, traveling through his memories to find his missing friend. In the memory of how they first met, at a music festival where Rick was selling an illegal substance, a younger version of Rick begins to follow the older Rick to find their friend. The older Rick doesn't want this idealistic, younger version of himself to follow him around or get in his way, so he stuffs him in a large shipping container and goes to find

ESCAPE ROOM (2019) REVIEW!
Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is The Mystery Writer speaking, and welcome to the show! Today, I am reviewing Escape Room, released in 2019. Now I initially ignored this horror movie when it first came out because it looked like gimmicky schlock. Now that I have finally seen it to prepare for the sequel, I can proudly say I didn't miss much. Before I dive into what I mean by that, let's first have a brief synopsis. In this flick, six people from all walks of life were invited to an exclusive escape room experience but soon find themselves in the fight for their lives instead. It is soon revealed that each one of them was chosen because they were each lone survivors in their respective tragic accidents and are now pitted against one another to see who is the luckiest of the lucky. One by one, they are killed off until only three remain, turn on each other because one of them went crazy and was a murderer all along. The final two turn the tables on those controlling the game and

RICK AND MORTY SEASON 5 EP. 4 REVIEW!
Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is The Mystery Writer speaking, and welcome to the show! Today, I am reviewing the fourth episode of season five of Rick and Morty! Entitled Rickdependence Spray, this episode sees Morty using a machine at his mother Beth's workplace to...pleasure himself. This decision inevitably goes wrong when Rick experiments on a bucket of sperm which he thought was that of a horse. Rick wanted to test it to see if it was real horse sperm, but Morty, ashamed of what he did, convinces him not to, ultimately unleashing hell on Earth, as monstrous versions of his sperm invade the planet. That's right, folks, this episode might have the dumbest plot yet. The government swoops in and saves the Smith family before they are eaten by the sperm. Rick blames himself, and so does the government, and they go to destroy the sperm in the Grand Canyon. Get it? Independence Day reference? The president sends an all-male team, much to the anger of Summer and Beth, but the plane

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S2 Ep. 2 Review!
Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is The Mystery Writer speaking, and welcome to the show! Today, I am reviewing the second episode of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Season 2! We begin the episode with Ilulu overlooking the city, as she has a flashback to her childhood. When she was a young dragon, she was friends with two human children, a boy and a girl, who even gave her a doll that looked like her human form. The other chaos dragons even reconsidered their thoughts on coexisting with humans. That was until there was an attack on a dragon village that killed Ilulu's parents. Ilulu was heartbroken that not only did she lose her parents, but she could no longer play with her human friends. Back in the present, KOBAYASHI IS STILL A MAN! She arrives home only to run into Tohru wearing nothing but a towel, her newly acquired male instincts kicking in. She managed to fight them off long enough to go to bed. In the morning, she wakes up only to find Kanna in her bed, who just wanted to

Eclipse: WhatIsRight, WhatIsNot, HowToFixIt
As a beta tester, I am privileged to be able to test new features and updates on DeviantArt before they are fully implemented and a huge update is close at hand; DeviantArt Eclipse, a complete redesign of the website and one of the biggest things to happen on DA since its creation in 2000. Beta testing for DeviantArt Eclipse is beginning on November 14th and since then I pour over the depths of the site. This is a journal of my findings, not of bugs and glitches (those I am only reporting through the proper channels), but of the function and prudence of the design of the site and my opinion on how they may be improved. This journal is for DA staff involved in development to hopefully take under consideration and for all deviants to arm themselves with the knowledge of coming changes. This journal may seem long but, considering the massive scale of the site redesign, it is far from comprehensive. If this journal seems a bit TL;DR, there is a summary of pros and cons at the end

Alpha = Asshole?
This was both a toxic and shallow manifest on how to score with women who are equally superficial and limited in their mindset as the author.
But let me elaborate.
"If he wants to talk to a girl, he goes and talks to her. Whatever the consequences (real or imagined) may be. And, more often than not, he's the guy walking out of the bar with the beautiful girl on his arm!"
- Oh. Another one of those guys who talks to every girl hoping one of them is drunk enough to leave with him. Guys like that are so icky.
"The alpha is the man who takes control of his own life, does things on his own terms – whenever and wherever he

Guide - Creating a magic system
While world building my own magic system I have been researching and reading a lot. I figured I would share what I came up with to help others :) This is a compiled list of what I am using to create my own magic system. It's not too much, but hopefully it will help you in your own endeavors!
While magic in a story can add an innumerable amount of beauty and wonder, it is a word to the wise to be careful how you use it and that you understand it before you do. Magic basically defies all logic in this world, but that doesn't mean it should in your world.
Magic isn't supposed to be used to fix that plot hole in your story, magic is a part of t

The Dumbest News Article Ever, Refuted
I don’t normally make a habit of demolishing media articles—if I tried to refute every single piece of hyperbolic superfluous tripe that gets put out every hour of every day, I’d never have time to do anything else. But every now and again I run across an article so asinine, so jaw-droppingly idiotic and so childishly infantile that I feel almost obligated to systematically refute it and take its author out behind the proverbial woodshed for some holiday season's beatings.
One such piece of vomit-inducing cancer comes courtesy of a certain Bruce Livesey, who writes for a Canadian outlet called the National Observer. In mid-
