Hey Guys!

We are back with the 4th Edition of Cool Cat of the Month. This person has been very involved in the prompts the last few weeks, as well as reaching out to both me and the group on various occasions. It is this above and beyond attitude as a member, that makes her our 4th Cool Cat of the Month.

Congratulations to, i-do-enjoy-music

Do you generally have a writing process? If not, can you share how your literature pieces come about?

I get inspiration from almost anything. I'm generally never without a writing utensil or paper(even if it is a napkin), so when that inspiration strikes I write it down. That doesn't happen all the time, although that would be wonderful if random inspiration always fell out of the sky. A large majority of my writing process comes from wanting to get better. Bassically, when I feel like I haven't been writing enough or well enough, I brainstorm based on things I haven't written over yet, or is out of my comfort zone(like my story Crab Apples. That was waaaaay out of my comfort zone...:paranoid:). Pushing myself to expand my writing repetoire is really where the magic happens.

What inspires you and your literature?

Everything is inspiration for this overactive mind. I soak up my surrounds, and anything that boggles or challenges my mind gets extra consideration. It's like bonus points if the subject or thought at hand can confuse me, and make me think for an extended period of time.

Is there a backstory to how you became a writer? What brought you to dA?

I've been writing ever since I learned the alphabet. I won a cool trip and publication from a story I wrote in second grade, and that sealed the deal. I originally came to dA for my photography. One of my close friends a few years ago told me that I had a good eye for photography, and that I should share it...so I did. I was very wary about posting any of my literature, because despite all of the positive reinforcement from various teachers, I was still timid about people reading what I wrote. Honestly it still intimidates me a little.

Feel free to tell us something random about yourself, not lit related!

I participate in Debate and Foresics(Which is like speech and acting...not dead bodies :stare:). I am a state qualifier amd placer in both(tournament I just went to my partner and I paced first, and our squad as a whole won the tournament!:squee:). I am a National Qualifier in forensics, in three different events, and placed in the top 60 of the nation with a speech about tiolets. I also play saxophone. I prefer baritone sax over alto, but that doesn't mean I don't love my alto :)

Please share 3 pieces of your own literature you are most proud of. Feel free to share why you love these pieces so much.

My three best/favorite literature deviations of mine would have to be

:thumb484421039::thumb484155181::thumb479606038:

They took the most time to complete. In the first one, I worked so hard on getting that guilt ridden trapped feeling. Like it was your fault you were trapped. The second one is just twisted, and I love it. I can't put my finger on what makes me like it so much. Maybe because of it's "Turn of The Screw" nature. The third one was something I have spent right around three, maybe four years on. Steady correcting and cleaning for such a long time gets me attached.

Now, share 3 pieces of literature from OTHER deviants.

Mature Content

forgotten the snare, of which I've been caught.
Retrospection a massacre, Reminiscence amassed.
My leisure foretold, the tombstones have cast.
Those shadows inside, I've witnessed most dear.
Yet masks like inkblots, have begun to smear.
Their tongues now a murmur, evoked once before.
To whom they reside in, are conscious no more.
A tragic convulsion of misconstrued thought.
Forgotten the snare, of which I've been caught.
A harrowing curse, yet remittance was cloaked.
For misplaced remembrance of life's ample yoke.

The first one is a long time favorite. One of the first things I ever favorited on this site. It's just...fun. Like the main character...just read it :la: The second one is just phenomenal. Words can not describe how amazing those words are. The last one is a fan-freaking-tastic display of what this up and coming poet can do. Check him out. It was super hard to chose three. I would have just said anything I had the pleasure to read :nuu: But, that was not really a proper answer, so just know I like what ya'll have done with the place :happybounce:

Thanks for taking the time to be interviewed and here is your feature:
