37th Entry: Hawk Allen JournalAthena Stavros, 2 years older and resident Greek Goddess cheerleader, stopped me in the hallway before First Bell. Her large perpetual laughing brown eyes smouldered with gold fire, brushed by long bangs to hide her pronounced widow's peak. Layered waves of high-lit hair framed a long nose full lips and high cheekbones, tapered down to her shoulders. A former gymnast, her body filled out very nicely last year, forcing her to switch to dance and cheer. In my brother the Troll's class and worshiped by all, she and I got to know each other at summer camp. Somewhere Along The Line

It seems that somewhere along the line, those promises we made to each other fell between the cracks.
There is much I would like to say, words my dubiously dolorous ego insists should be strung along to the tune of an acoustic guitar. But there is rhythm enough here, in the gaps. It's deafening, the way you don't reply. My senses are continually jarred by the absence of sounds come to be regarded as habitual. Is this your fault, or is it mine?
Actions have repercussions, vibrations of reality spreading out from each plucked heart-string. And when a string breaks... the backlash is greatest of all. The imprint leaves one so sensitive and raw, bloodied and bare. But you're barely even aware, now. Not of me, let alone the impression you have made so vividly, so stark against the echoing gap of reality.
Why, indeed, were these promises so disregarded? Torn aside and asunder, fragments taken to the winds? As I sit here and indulge myself in another bottle, as your laugh does not echo back f
